TRAINING: Reflecting on the Journey: Retreat Training for Parents of Children with ASD

October 11, 2019

We are offering a full-day training for parents, professionals, or organizations who are interested in developing and running their own retreat. The training will be the day before the retreat weekend, on October 11, 2019 and will be followed by your participation in the actual retreat over the weekend. You will come away with the specific skills and supports, which we have developed over 20 years, to run a successful retreat through your agency or group. The training will be conducted by the developers of the “Reflecting on the Journey” retreat model: Dr. Barry Prizant (Brown University); Dr.Elaine Meyer (Harvard University); and staff of Community Autism Resources (CAR) including Ms. Barbara Domingue, Founder and Executive Director of CAR. If you are interested in receiving information about the retreat training, which will be limited to 10-16 participants*, please contact us at: bprizant@gmail.com.

The fee for the retreat training and retreat weekend is $1250. USD per person ($2500. USD per team). This fee covers:
– two nights stay at the beautiful and secluded Whispering Pines Conference Center, including all meals from Friday morning through lunch Sunday afternoon
– full day retreat training on Friday including all materials in a binder with everything you need to plan and run a retreat, and
– participation in all retreat activities from Saturday morning through after lunch on Sunday.

If you are interested in attending the Retreat Training, please click here to register.

*Please note that we strongly encourage teams of at least two participants who would be working together to offer a retreat – parent-professionals or a professional teamed with a parent.
