About the speaker: Shannon Sousa, M.S., CCC-SLP is the social group and assistive technology coordinator for Community Autism Resources and the life skills instructor for the Gottschall Access Program. She is a speech-language pathologist who received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Wheaton College and Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Rhode Island. She recently received her certificate in assistive technology from the University of New Hampshire.
Shannon’s focus of therapy is helping individuals communicate in effective and meaningful ways. She enjoys incorporating visual supports, interactive songs, and engaging games into therapy routines. Shannon loves supporting social coaches during PEERS classes for social skill development in young adults. In her free time, Shannon enjoys baking and crafting. She is a avid fan of Broadway plays and musicals.
