A Conversation About… New ABA: Bringing Joy into Teaching and Supporting Clients/Children

July 20, 2022 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Via zoom so you can even watch if you are on vacation!
Description: In recent years the field has been moving towards a kinder approach that relies heavily on compassion and building a rapport, but so many inside and outside of the practice are not aware of this. Why is that?  It is everyone’s job to know what is considered ethical and unethical when it comes to ABA treatment. Let’s have an open discussion together about client/child rights, what is considered unethical, and how to bring complaints to light if you think something is wrong. Together we can continue this shift towards a more compassionate field of ABA. No one should work through their tears, let’s bring joy back in our child’s lives!
  • Time will be allotted for questions!
  • Space is limited. Registeration is now CLOSED.
Discussing this topic will be: Margot Page, Jenn Pohle and Nicole Piona,
Board Certified Behavior Analysts from Positive Synergy, a company that provides a variety of services to autistic individuals. Collectively, the three have over twenty years of special education, managerial, operational, and therapeutic experience in a variety of settings and with a variety of populations. Their compassion and creativity are the fundamental driving force behind Positive Synergy’s services. They believe that nurturing trust and compassion should be the priority of those in human services fields. They don’t believe in doing for the client but with the client.
