Community Autism Resources hosts a variety of annual events as part of our mission to provide free and valuable services to individuals dealing with autism, their families and the professionals who support them.
Hearts and Hands Walk for Autism and Family Fun Day
The Hearts & Hands Walk for Autism and Family Fun Day is our SIGNATURE fundraiser! We depend on our annual Walk to raise funds to continue to provide the FREE and vital services & supports to children, teens adults and their families, as they face the everyday challenges of living with Autism Spectrum Disorders. When you support CAR, you can rest assured that all of the money raised stays local & will help improve the lives of people living with Autism, their families and their communities!
The Parent Retreat
The primary purpose of the annual Parent Retreat is to provide a relaxing and supportive environment for parents or caregivers to reflect on, explore, and share the rewards and challenges of raising a child with ASD. There will be opportunities for relaxation, discussion, networking, making new friends, and learning from other parents, in a beautiful country setting with great food. Although there will be opportunities to learn, the format is that of a retreat, not a conference. The atmosphere is relaxed and casual.
