How do I handle my child’s meltdown? This is one of the most common and toughest challenges for parents of kids with ASD.

This talk will address some commonly asked questions about emotion regulation in ASD, such as:

  • What is a meltdown?
  • What triggers/causes meltdowns?
  • What can I do to stop the meltdown?
  • How can I prevent meltdowns?
  • How can I help my child build his skills in regulating emotions?

    Our speaker: Dr. Hirshberg is a licensed clinical psychologist who has been working with individuals with ASD, their parents, and their teachers for over 37 years. He is Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior in the Alpert Medical School of Brown University.
