Norton Police Department Autism Acceptance Patch

Norton Police Department Autism Acceptance Patch Fundraiser

We would like to congratulate & thank Nelson Couto of Attleboro, for creating the winning design for the Norton Police Departments patch project!
Mr. Nelson Couto’s design was selected from over 100 unique submissions. His patch features the color purple, (the town’s color), along with an infinity symbol, which he chose because it represents the “unlimited potential” of those with autism.
In an email received this morning from our dear friend, Detective David Ruskey, he tells us, “The winner is Nelson Couto of Attleboro. Mr. Couto was motivated to participate in the NPD Patch Project as a way to highlight the countless people who are affected by Autism. Mr. Couto's son has an ASD diagnosis and he recognizes that community engagement is an important part of ensuring acceptance within the general public.”
Patches will be going into production and will be available for purchase: $10.00 per patch, $13.00 if mailed. The cost of the patches has been donated, meaning every dollar from the sale of the patches will go to CAR!
For any questions about this event, please contact Det. David Ruskey (ruskey@nortonpolice.com)
Once again, we’d like to thank the Norton PD, Mr. Nelson Couto and everyone who took time to submit their artwork and designs for the creation of this patch!
